About Our Founder

Mandi Ruiz, M.S., CCC-SLP

Mandi Ruiz, founder of Steadfast Pediatric Therapy

From Small-Town Roots to Purposeful Practice

Mandi was born and raised in Clovis, New Mexico, a community deeply rooted in connection, resilience, and family. Those early experiences shaped the way she sees people, relationships, and the importance of showing up for others in meaningful ways.

She met her husband while he was serving in the United States military, and that season of life brought new perspective, growth, and ultimately led them to Colorado—where they now live and raise their family. He now serves our community as a firefighter with Colorado Springs Fire Department, and that shared commitment to service continues to shape the way they live and give back.

Today, as a mom to energetic boys, Mandi is constantly reminded of what truly matters—to slow down, be present, and find joy in the everyday moments. They are a daily reminder that growth doesn't happen in a rush—it happens in connection, in consistency, and in the small moments that often go unseen.

One Practice. Multiple Ways to Serve.

Mandi's decade of experience spans clinic, school, early intervention, and home-based settings. This breadth of experience informed a unified vision: to create a practice grounded in relationship-based, individualized care that could serve children in multiple contexts. Today, Steadfast serves both families seeking personalized therapy and Colorado school districts looking to strengthen communication support for their students.

Whether working with a family in their home or collaborating with a school team around an IEP table, the foundation remains the same: meaningful progress happens through connection, trust, and intentional care.

Her Approach

Approach to Therapy

A philosophy grounded in relationship-based, individualized care

As a speech-language pathologist, Mandi has spent over a decade working with children and families across clinic, school, early intervention, and home-based settings.

Through those experiences, one thing became clear:

The most meaningful progress doesn't happen in isolated tasks or rushed sessions—it happens through relationship, trust, and intentional care.

That belief is what led her to create Steadfast Pediatric Therapy.

A space where families feel supported.

Where children are truly seen.

And where therapy is built around connection first.

The Heart Behind Steadfast

The name Steadfast reflects the kind of care Mandi believes every child deserves.

Steady. Consistent. Rooted.

Because so much of what we do in therapy happens below the surface—building foundations, strengthening connection, and creating lasting change that continues far beyond our sessions.

It's not always immediate.

It's not always visible.

But it is meaningful.

Faith & Purpose

Mandi's work is deeply guided by her faith. She believes every child is uniquely created with purpose, and it is a privilege to walk alongside families as their children grow, connect, and find their voice.

Serving others through this work is more than a profession—it's a calling.

She strives to honor God in the way she serves, leads, and cares for families—approaching each child with patience, compassion, and intention.

"Let all that you do be done in love." — 1 Corinthians 16:14
